The Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP) mission is to improve health and human services systems of care and business operations to help organizations and individuals reach their full potential.
This privacy policy explains how AHP collects, uses, protects, or otherwise handles your personally identifiable information (PII) online. PII, as used in U.S. privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate someone, or to identify an individual in context. What personal information does AHP collect when I visit the AHP blog or website or send an email or employment application?
AHP saves emails sent through the site along with the information available in that email, including public server details. AHP does not collect a users’ unique computer, server, or IP identification.
When ordering or registering on the site, you may be asked for details such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or other details to enhance your experience.
When does AHP collect my information?
AHP collects information from you when you register on the site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or enter information on the site.
How does AHP use my information?
AHP may use the information it collects when you register, buy something, sign up for the newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features to

- Improve the website to better serve you,
- Respond to your customer service requests,
- Run contests, promotions, surveys, and

How does AHP protect my information?
AHP stores your personal information behind secured networks with restricted access limited to authorized personnel bound by confidentiality. All sensitive information like credit card details is encrypted via secure socket layer (SSL) technology.
All transactions are managed by a gateway provider and never stored or processed on AHP servers.
Does AHP use cookies?
Yes. AHP uses cookies to remember your shopping cart, understand your preferences, and improve its services. AHP also uses cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and interactions so that it can improve experiences and tools. And AHP may use trusted third-party services that track your information.
Cookies are small files that sites or service providers transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. Cookies let a site’s or service provider’s system recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
You have control over your cookies. You can turn off cookies or have your computer warn you when a site is sending cookies. Look at your browser’s Help menu to learn how to modify or disable your cookies. Disabling cookies may also disable some features, and AHP services may not function properly.
Any information you submit through AHP’s contact form is stored in a private, password-protected and encrypted cloud environment on Microsoft servers, whether Amazon, Microsoft SQL, or Microsoft Cloud. You can still place orders.
Third-party disclosure
AHP never sells, trades, or shares your PII without notifying you first. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties that help AHP operate its website, conduct business, or serve you, so long as those parties agree to keep your information confidential.
AHP may release your information, by only when necessary (e.g., AHP must comply with the law; enforce site policies; protect rights, property, or safety). AHP may also give nonpersonal data identifiable visitor information to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other purposes.
Third-party links
AHP may include or offer third-party products or services on its website. However, AHP is not responsible for third-party content and activities. These third-party sites also have separate privacy policies. Nonetheless, AHP will protect the integrity of its site.

COPPA Act
The Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) empowers parents to control how websites collect and use personal information from children under age 13. This Federal Trade Commission-enforced rule offers guidance on how to protect children’s online privacy and safety.
AHP does not market to children under age 13.
CAN-SPAM Act
The Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing (CAN-SPAM) Act is a set of requirements for commercial messages that give recipients the right to stop emails from being sent to them. The CAN-SPAM Act also outlines tough penalties for violations.
If you want to unsubscribe from an AHP email list, simply click on “unsubscribe” at the bottom of an AHP email, and we will remove you from ALL correspondence lists.
